When Mereng cookies are baked in an oven at 150 degrees, the cookies will not crack. We preferred the cookies with a bit of cracking, so we baked the cookies used in the image at 180 degrees. Cookies baked at 180 degrees are baked for 15-20 minutes. Cookies baked at 150 degrees are baked for 25-30 minutes.

How to make chocolate mereng cookies?
Let’s whisk the egg whites and a tea glass of powdered sugar well. Let’s take care to use a deep bowl for whipping.
Keep whisking until the egg whites turn into snow and thicken.
Then add 2-3 drops of vinegar, cocoa and chocolate drops, mix. However, do not use a mixer at this stage, let’s get a homogeneous mixture by mixing with slow movements that quench the egg whites.
